Cherry Almond Pound Cake

This weekend I bought a new convection oven and have been baking up a storm ever since.  At this point I am handing out cakes to anyone who will take them as I tweak recipes and baking times on this new and very, very powerful oven.  Technology has come a very long way, baby!

In the last 24 hours I have made 2 nutmeg pound cakes, a cherry almond pound cake, and the secret family recipe pound cake.

I think, after these are gone/given away, I will concentrate on a chocolate scratch cake and perhaps some carrot cake cupcakes.

I might even make some cake balls.  As I said before, as the temperatures drop, my oven gets hotter (and my rear gets bigger).  Oh well, it's a give and take world, isn't it?  :)
